Zapovednik – When Man and Tigers Meet in the East
US Premiere!
17 min
Filmmaker: Emmanuel Rondeau
Almost extinct in the 1930s, the Siberian Tiger made an extraordinary come back when the Soviet Union closed its borders, dramatically reducing the trade of tiger parts between Russia and China. From the 500 animals present in the Far East at the end of the Perestroika, only 350 descendants survive today, but the truth is, nobody really knows what is happening in the Taiga. Andre and his rangers, however, are determined to investigate.
