Snowy Owl Goes to Washington
15 min
Filmmaker: Tim Persinko
In the winter of 2013 – 2014, bird watchers spotted snowy owls in historic numbers across the northeastern United States. While hunting near the White House, one of these majestic creatures was hit by a city bus. This film follows the remarkable efforts to return the owl to the wild and what’s been learned from that winter’s irruption.
